Black Pepper Code 69 Catamaran
The Black Pepper C69 is a new semi-custom racer/cruiser from the multiple award winning French firm Yacht Design Collective www.yachtdesigncollective.com and built by highly technical French carbon composite builder Black Pepper Yachts.
The design brief of the Code 69 was a sailing catamaran with an offshore program creating a luxurious & comfortable living space on the water while ensuring a maximum performance level and safety for high speed bluewater cruising. The use of high-tech composite materials identical to those used for racing prototypes (Epoxy Carbon Sandwich) has made it possible while considerably reducing the weight of the boat, which, combined with wide and long hulls, allows high speeds and impressive accelerations.
On board, nothing is left aside: platform height, ergonomic, maneuvers, living spaces, high-end equipment, cabins, bathrooms, cockpit lounge; everything is designed to ensure comfort, safety, and autonomy to owners and their guests. The Code 69 with its dual aft helms and sail plan is also designed to be easily managed shorthanded.
Code 69 was entirely designed to offer its passengers all the comfort and high-end services of a luxurious bluewater cruising catamaran. The Code 69 is a boat that was designed specially to be adapted to each client (semi-custom with female hull/deck moulds produced by Marsaudon Composites). The interior design is therefore left to the discretion of the owner.
Since its inception in 2007, Black Pepper Yachts based in Nantes, FR on the Loire River is a highly technical builder of all carbon/epoxy infusion regatta monohulls from the Code # at 8m to the Code 3 at 25m. Their Code series is easily distinguishable due to their classic New England style low deck house and teak decks with a proven racing hull design. Due to Black Pepper Yachts expertise, the yard has also constructed IMOCA ocean racers such as OCCITANE EN PROVENCE in 2020 and OCEANS LAB in 2023 www.blackpepper.com.
Hull number 1 is due to launch in the Summer of 2024 and next hull available is hull number 3 at a date to be determined.Principal Dimensions
