Comar, founded in the 1960s in Forlì, Italy for the production of monohull sailing yachts, is one of the historic brands of the Italian boating industry and today builds both monohulls and catamarans under the Comet and C-Cat brands.

In 1998, Massimo and Flavia Guardigli acquired the Comar boatyard and its technology, inheriting a fleet of over 5,000 yachts sailing in the Mediterranean and relocated to Fiumicino, Italy on the Tibor River.

Being avid racing sailors their entire life, Massimo and his wife Flavia launched a new range of monohull sailboats from Comet 51S, a successful model that later expanded into a full range of 11 models from 35S to 125RS spanning from racing yachts to spacious and comfortable high-performance cruisers. In 2014 Comar Yachts embarked on a new challenge: multihulls.

Comar Yachts’ C-Cat range of high-performance catamarans represent the first truly Made in Italy multihull line, a bold venture for the Comar Yachts shipyard. To bring this vision to life, the yard collaborates with top designers and engineers.

Their artisan craftsmen encompass all trades, not only fabricating the shell, but also fabricating in-house the carbon masts, carbon crossbeams, carbon decks, carbon davits, and carbon longerons/bow sprits. The beautiful book-matched all wood interiors are milled from raw wood, their metal shop produces the stainless steel for pulpits, pushpits, cleats and their in-house upholstery shop produces all soft goods. “Built For Sailors by Sailors”
