comar yachts - c-cat 65
The C-Cat 65 project is designed to make you feel at home even in the middle of the oceans, elegant and sporty with a blue-water vocation. The project is the result of the ideas and experience of Enrico Contreas with Luigi Cirillo and the Technical Studio of the Shipyard, with Marco Amadio and Marco Rogolino, for careful work on the deck, as well as for modern, bright, and welcoming interiors.
The Shipyard is entrusted with the maximum expression of technology applied to a multihull to ensure that this catamaran can excel in both performance and livability. In these dimensions, the comforts of a pure cruising cat are required, with multifaceted systems.
The hull lines express a strong personality: they are modern, harmonious, and sleek, characterized by the integrated dual steering on the cockpit bulkhead, where all maneuvers are practical and organic. The deck leans towards the racing world for cleanliness and functionality, with a keen focus on the convivial style typical of Made in Italy. The spaces are generous to make you feel comfortable at every point.
The saloon, connected to the large cockpit, becomes a vast open space where you can enjoy your spaces with great comfort. The sliding glass doors recreates the two environments, leaving virtually with no trace of their presence.
Construction and Materials: Thanks to careful studies, the C-Cat 65 is known for its reduced displacement due to carbon epoxy infusion construction for bulkheads, hull, and deck, achieving ideal robustness and structural rigidity with very low weight. As a result, significant time reductions are achieved even on long oceanic crossings.
Comar Yachts, supported by thirty years of experience in building oceanic and racing boats, has focused on verifying the weights of laminates, structures, and materials on board, resulting in an empty displacement of 18.5 tons.
The hull is laminated with epoxy resin using glass and carbon fabrics. The deck, primary bulkheads, daggerboards, mast, forward crossbeam/spreader, and longeron/bowsprit are entirely made of carbon.
The C-Cat 65 measures 9.20 meters in width, 1.75 meters at the waterline, with a length of 19.75 meters and a fineness ratio of 11.28. With these numbers, it rightfully enters the category of high-performance catamarans.
Interiors: The interiors have received a lot of attention to optimize the spaces. Hull #1 currently under construction is intended for an owner’s exclusive use, and the 3 cabins have been optimized for the maximum comfort of only 6 guests. The forward cabin has been moved aft, with a forward bathroom, to provide more space in a more comfortable beam.
The C-Cat 65 meets the goals of relaxation and entertainment on board. These are the words that have inspired the line of large multihulls signed by C-Cat, designed to live at sea for extended periods . . . “Built For Sailors by Sailors”
The first C-Cat 65 will be launched in the summer of 2025.
